Jotacote F60 is a pure epoxy outfitting primer. Jotacote F60 can be used as a primer, midcoat, finish coat or as a single-coat system in atmospheric and immersed environments. It has a wide temperature resistance ranging from cryogenic (-196C) to hot (210C) and can be applied in a wide range of thicknesses. Jotacote F60 can be used in water ballast tanks as a holding primer when part of a relevant system approved according to PSPC IMO Res. MSC 215(82). It can be applied on properly prepared carbon steel, shop primed steel, stainless steel, aluminium, galvanised steel, glass fibre reinforced polyester and thermally sprayed zinc surfaces.
Approved for PSPC for Water Ballast Tanks according to IMO Res. MSC 215(82).
When used as part of an approved scheme, this material has the following certification:
- Low Flame Spread in accordance with EU Directive for Marine Equipment. Approved in accordance with parts 5 and 2 of Annex 1 of IMO 2010 FTP Code, or Parts 5 and 2 of Annex 1 of IMO FTPC when in compliance with
IMO 2010 FTP Code Ch. 8.
